How We Learn
TBC was founded on a simple idea:
That the best preschool experience combines the warmth, creativity, and social focus of the American early childhood tradition with the curricular depth of a European education. Thirty-three years later, that idea still shapes everything we do.
We believe children learn best when they feel safe, curious, and genuinely engaged. At TBC, that happens across five distinct areas of school life, each one explored in the pages that follow.

Learning as Part of a Community
At TBC, the classroom feels less like school and more like home, where children build lasting friendships and develop the confidence to grow.

Learning Through Play
Free play is a carefully considered part of every day at TBC. Children explore, create, and build together, from structures to imaginary worlds, while practicing social skills and making friends.

Structured Academics
A rich, teacher-led curriculum spanning literacy, math, science, social studies, and the arts gives children the tools to think, discover, and develop a genuine love of learning.
It literally brings tears to my eyes when I reflect upon my daughter's positive time at the Teddy Bear Club. I doubt many schools could elicit such a reaction. Thank you so much! We highly recommend this wonderful, magical school! The teachers and staff truly cannot be beat! I wish she could stay forever!

Learning French
French is woven into daily life at TBC through songs, routines, circle time, and interactive lessons, giving children a natural and joyful introduction to a second language.

Global Citizenship
We see language as a window into culture, using our exploration of French as a jumping off point to fostered a broad appreciation for other world cultures and backgrounds.
